What To Expect Develop engineering concepts for mechanical components and assemblies within conventional and electrified powertrain systems
Create 3D CAD models and technical drawings using CATIA V5
Ensure manufacturability, geometric integration, serviceability, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations
Coordinate with packaging, simulation, manufacturing, supplier, and project teams
Perform design studies and evaluate alternative concepts
Support design reviews and technical discussions with customers and stakeholders
Manage changes and continuously improve component designs during development phases The Position May Involve The Design And Integration Of Exhaust systems and exhaust components
Air intake systems and ducting
Cast housings for electric machines
Cast housings for power electronics units
Drive shafts and powertrain components
Plastic covers and protective components
Brackets, mounting systems, and structural parts
E-mobility and high-voltage related mechanical components
What You Bring Along Minimum 3 years of experience in automotive mechanical design
Proven experience in the independent development of at least one complex automotive component or assembly
Experience throughout the complete product development cycle from concept design to production release
Technical Skills Excellent CATIA V5 knowledge
Advanced CATIA V5 Shape Design expertise (essential requirement)
Part Design
Assembly Design
Drafting and GD&T;
Design for Manufacturing (DFM)
Geometric Integration and Packaging
Teamcenter, ENOVIA, or similar PDM systems
FMEA knowledge
Tolerance analysis
Automotive development processes
Experience with electric drive units, e-motors, or power electronics packaging
