We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Specialist to lead the implementation and ongoing governance of our enterprise data classification, protection, and compliance strategies. You will play a key role in defining and enforcing security and data governance policies using Microsoft 365 E3/E5 capabilities, including Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, and DLP. **Responsibilities**:
Design, implement, and maintain data classification and data loss prevention (DLP) policies using Microsoft Purview;
Configure and manage Microsoft Defender for Office 365, Endpoint, and Identity;
Collaborate with stakeholders to enforce security baselines across Microsoft 365 workloads (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive);
Lead compliance and data governance initiatives aligned with GDPR, ISO 27001, and other regulatory frameworks;
Work closely with IT and InfoSec to enforce secure collaboration, access control, and audit policies;
Provide documentation, training, and continuous improvements of compliance and security procedures;
Monitor and respond to alerts generated from Defender and Purview tools.
**Requirements**:
3+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 E3/E5 security and compliance tools;
Strong understanding of data classification, DLP, retention, and information governance;
Experience with Microsoft Purview, Microsoft Defender, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD),



and Microsoft Compliance Center;
Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001, CIS Benchmarks);
Familiarity with cloud security architecture and risk management principles;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English;
**Preferred**:
**Microsoft Certified**: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (SC-900) or Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator Associate (SC-400);
Experience in highly regulated industries such as financial services, gaming, or healthcare.
