Legal Intern - Real Estate & Renewable Energy

VOLT Infrastructure is a company that develops and invests in renewable energy projects (PV and BESS) in Italy.
From land identification to technical design, through permitting to EPC contracting, VOLT Infrastructure's development team plays a key role in the success of each and every project we undertake.
For our office in Rome, we are looking for an enthusiastic lawyer who is passionate about energy transition issues.
As a Legal Intern , you will join our Land Acquisition and Development team, supporting the legal activities related to the development of photovoltaic projects in Italy. Working alongside experienced professionals, you will gain hands-on experience in real estate and renewable energy law.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the drafting, review and management of legal documentation, including preliminary and final agreements for surface rights, easements, land leases and land purchase agreements.
- Supporting the coordination of legal documentation with landowners, notaries and external legal advisors.
- Assisting in the organization, filing and monitoring of legal documentation and project-related communications.
- Supporting legal and technical due diligence activities for renewable energy projects.
- Collaborating with internal departments to ensure the timely completion of legal activities.
- Conducting legal research on real estate and renewable energy regulations, when required.
Requirements
- Master's Degree in Law (or currently completing the final stage of the degree).
- Strong interest in Real Estate Law, Property Law and Renewable Energy.
- Excellent written and spoken Italian and English.
- Good drafting and analytical skills.
- Proactive attitude, willingness to learn and attention to detail.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Nice to Have
- Previous academic or internship experience in real estate, contracts or energy law.
- Knowledge of Italian property law and renewable energy regulatory framework.
