Due to the rapid growth of our Data Center development activities, we are now looking for a Junior Urban Planning Specialist to join our Development team in Italy.
Your main responsibilities will include:
· Support the analysis and assessment of potential sites, including urban planning compatibility and land-use considerations.
· Analyse regional, provincial and municipal planning instruments and identify relevant planning constraints and restrictions.
· Support the assessment of protected areas and other regulatory constraints using GIS tools and regional geoportals.
· Support the preparation and management of urban planning procedures, including planning instruments, amendments and building permits.
· Prepare and review urban planning documentation required for permitting applications.
· Support VAS/VIA procedures and contribute to the planning and regulatory sections of environmental studies.
· Coordinate and review deliverables prepared by external urban planning, environmental and engineering consultants.
· Liaise with municipal technical offices and other public authorities.
· Monitor permitting procedures, deadlines and project progress.
· Support the preparation of technical reports, notes and presentations.
Qualifications:
· Master’s Degree in Architecture, Civil/Building Engineering, Urban Planning or a related field.
· 0–2 years of experience, including internships, in urban planning, construction, real estate development, infrastructure permitting or a related field.
· Basic knowledge of Italian urban planning and building regulations, particularly D.P.R. 380⁄2001.
· Knowledge of QGIS and AutoCAD.
· Good knowledge of Excel and Power Point.
· Fluent Italian and professional English (minimum B2 level).
· Availability to travel within Italy and a valid driving licence (B).
Nice to have:
· Professional qualification and/or registration with the relevant professional association.
· Knowledge of regional Italian urban planning legislation and planning instruments such as PUG, PSC, POC and RUE.
· Experience, including academic experience, with VAS/VIA procedures or permitting processes for energy infrastructure or Data Centers.
· Familiarity with cadastral documentation, geoportals and territorial databases.
· Knowledge of Spanish.
· Interest in digital tools and Artificial Intelligence applied to technical workflows.
