The marina sector is undergoing a long-overdue digital transformation. Most marinas still rely on fragmented software, manual processes and disconnected customer experiences, leaving significant revenue and operational efficiency untapped.
MareaOS was created to change this.
We are building the next-generation operating system for marinas: a cloud platform that helps marina operators manage their business more efficiently while delivering a seamless digital experience to boat owners. Our mission is to become the reference platform for the recreational boating industry, starting from Europe.
Backed by experienced entrepreneurs and strategic industry partners, we are now preparing our commercial scale-up and looking for an exceptional Sales Director.
Tasks
We are looking for a senior commercial leader with a deep understanding of the marina ecosystem and an established network across the industry.
We need someone who already knows the market, understands how marina operators make decisions, and has spent years selling products or services that are core to their business.
You will define and execute our commercial strategy, build strategic relationships with marina groups and independent operators, and become the commercial face of MareaOS.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute MareaOS commercial strategy.
- Build and manage a qualified pipeline of marina opportunities.
- Leverage your industry network to accelerate market penetration.
- Lead negotiations with marina owners, operators and management companies.
- Represent MareaOS at industry events and trade shows across Europe.
- Collaborate with Product and Customer Success to continuously improve the offering.
- Contribute to pricing strategy, partnerships and go-to-market execution.
- Build and lead the future sales organization as the company scales.
Requirements
- At least 10 years of commercial experience within the marina industry.
- A proven track record selling products or services directly related to marina operations.
- An established network of decision makers within marinas and marina groups.
- Demonstrated success in enterprise or consultative B2B sales.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent English communication skills; additional European languages are a plus.
- Willingness to travel across Europe
Nice to Have
- Experience in SaaS or technology businesses.
- Previous leadership experience managing sales teams.
- International experience across multiple marina markets.
- Passion for boating and the recreational marine industry.
