The Product Lead Engineer will provide complete technical ownership of the development of Methode’s product. They will support/lead both customer-facing and Methode facing activities. They will be responsible for all the product technical deliverables to the programs. They will work with all facets of the organization to ensure the successful development and launch of the product to meet the customer requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

- Lead all elements of the product development for Methode’s products including BOM, 2D/3D activities, FMEA development, ADV Plan, VA/VE activities, etc.
- Develop the product technical solution for Methode’s customers
- Lead DFM activity with manufacturing engineering ensuring a manufacturable system
- Lead BOM development during the RFQ phase.
- Draft Technical Presentations to support quotations for the Sales team.
- Assisting the Management Team and provide support as necessary.
- Support manufacturing plant activities including pre-production builds, PFMEA, PPAP, Quality Engineering, change management, etc




- Handle and delegate administrative tasks required by this post
- Work within Environmental and Health & Safety requirements procedures.
- Work within Quality Management System requirements and procedures including Certification and Customer requirements.

Minimum Job Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or related technical field, or at least 5 years work experience in Product Development and the automotive industry, combined with a demonstrated track record of accomplishments in Middle Management.
- Good Project Management skills
- Oral and written skills, strong interpersonal skills and superior organizational abilities.
- Ability to take initiative, to maintain confidentiality, to meet deadlines, and to work in a team environment is essential.
- Ability to be flexible and multitasking.
- Methodical approach, enthusiastic with an emphasis on accuracy and quality of work.
- Goal Oriented Self Starter.
- Excellent Communicator.
- PC-based computing experience is essential.
