We are seeking a skilled Robotics Engineer to design,implement, and optimize automated systems, including ARVs, robotics, andoverhead transport, in a microelectronics manufacturing environment. The roleensures compliance with SEMI standards and involves collaboration withproduction, logistics, and maintenance teams to enhance efficiency, quality,and safety. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing,and implementing advanced robotic systems into dark factory / zones.Your ProfileTheresponsibilities include, but are not limited to:Program Support: Support the STMalta Sites dark lines / factory automation program, from substrate to finaltest. Design and Development: Develop andoptimize advanced robotic systems, including hardware and software components. Design and implement algorithms formotion control, perception, and decision-making. Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to integrate sensors, actuators, and control systems. Support AMHS operations includingmaintenance of automation equipment. Developand implement automated systems (ARVs, robotics, overhead transport). Pathrouting, material handling, optimization, etc. Ensure compliance with SEMIstandards and implement safety protocols. Testing, Validation and Release toProduction: Conduct rigorous testing and validation of robotic systems toensure performance, reliability, and safety. Perform SECS/GEM Characterizationsfor equipment.



Analyze and troubleshoot systemissues, implementing solutions to improve functionality. Execute the deployment of advancedrobotics into deployment for dark room / zones. Research and Innovation: Stayupdated on the latest advancements in advanced robotics and artificialintelligence. Contribute to research initiativesand propose innovative solutions to enhance robotic capabilities. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed technicaldocumentation, including design specifications, test reports, and user manuals.Present findings and project updatesto stakeholders and team memberThe idealcandidate shall:Bachelor’sor Master’s degree in robotics engineering, mechanical engineering,mechatronics engineering, computer science, or a related field.Proficiencyin programming languages such as Python, C++, or MATLAB. Experiencewith robotic frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System). Knowledgeof Semiconductor manufacturing frontend / EWS / backend Strongknowledge of kinematics, dynamics, and control systems. Familiaritywith sensors, actuators, and embedded systems. Excellentproblem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strongcommunication skills and ability to document technical processes effectively. Skills: Proficiencyin Project Management and Vendor Management. StrongBusiness Communication skills. TechnicalKnowledge: Experiencein advanced robot design and development. Knowledgeof machine learning and computer vision techniques. Familiaritywith hardware design and prototyping.



Experiencewith simulation tools and environments for robotics is highly valued. Understandingof digital twin technology : a comprehensive knowledge of digital twinconcepts, including their architecture, components, and applications, iscrucial. This includes familiarity with simulation, modeling, and real-timedata integration. Knowledgeof artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML): a strongfoundation in AI and ML is necessary to develop intelligent and adaptivedigital twin systems. This includes experience with neural network models andgenerative AI. Programmingand simulation skills: proficiency in programming languages such as Python,C++, or similar, as well as experience with simulation tools, is required todesign and test digital twin models effectively. Collaborationand interdisciplinary knowledge: the ability to work collaboratively with teamsfrom various disciplines, such as mechanical engineering, software development,and data science, is critical for the successful implementation of digital twintechnology.The expectedsalary range for this position is between 40,000 and 48,000 gross per year,depending on experience and the level of seniority within the organization.Applications from candidates with more extensive experience and higher salaryexpectations will also be taken into consideration.
