About the role
Schaeffler Water Pump Bearing Italia is looking for an Engineer (m/f) to join the Plant Technology function as a Grinding Technology Engineer.
Key Responsibilities
Grinding and lapping technology applied in production
Support for the optimization of production machines and the development of new machinery
Design of tools and equipment for grinding and lapping
Responsibility for cost-reduction projects related to tooling and processes




Industrialization of new products for production start-up
Continuous improvement of the grinding and lapping process in terms of OEE, setup time, machine efficiency, and ergonomics
Monitoring and analysis of production data in order to optimize processes and reduce manufacturing costs
Pre-acceptance and acceptance testing of new machines
Development of setup plans
Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering
2–3 years of experience in a metalworking/manufacturing environment
Experience with machining / material removal processes is a plus
