ppTaylor Hopkinson is supporting an international IPP in the recruitment of a Project Manager to oversee the delivery of utility-scale BESS projects across Italy.
/ppThe successful candidate will be responsible for managing the full construction lifecycle of BESS projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
This role requires regular travel to project sites, primarily located in Southern Italy.
/ph3Key Responsibilities /h3ulliLead the execution of utility-scale BESS projects from Notice to Proceed through commissioning and handover.
/liliCoordinate and manage EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, and other project stakeholders.
/liliMonitor project schedules, budgets, quality, and HSE performance, ensuring project objectives are achieved.
/liliOversee site activities and conduct regular visits to construction sites to monitor progress and resolve technical or operational issues.
/liliManage contractual obligations, project risks, and change orders throughout the construction phase.




/liliEnsure compliance with Italian regulations, grid connection requirements, and company standards.
/liliCoordinate with internal engineering, development, procurement, and operations teams to ensure smooth project execution.
/liliSupport project commissioning, testing, energisation, and final project close-out.
/li /ulh3Requirements /h3ulliBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
/liliProven experience managing the construction of utility-scale renewable energy or BESS projects.
/liliStrong experience with HV electrical infrastructure and grid connection activities.
/liliDemonstrated ability to manage complex construction projects involving multiple contractors and stakeholders.
/liliGood understanding of HSE requirements and construction best practices.
/liliWillingness to travel regularly to project sites across Southern Italy.
/liliGood communication and stakeholder management skills.
