The OpportunityWe are looking for a Global Fire and Explosion Safety Specialist to join our team as Program Lead.

How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead the BU Fire and Explosion Safety Program, including related processes and technical guidance.
- Assess and safeguard Fire and Explosion prevention systems on BU TR facilities, tools, and equipment.
- Develop and implement cross-functional strategies for Fire and Explosion safety measures and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk mitigation strategies for Fire and Explosion safety.
- Provide training and develop technical competencies in Fire and Explosion safety at local sites.
- Define requirements for Fire and Explosion safety during purchasing, installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
- Coordinate with internal Real Estate projects to ensure compliance with legal and internal safety requirements.
- Investigate Fire and Explosion incidents, determine root causes,



and prepare corrective and preventive action plans.

Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering, with a specialization in Fire and Explosion safety.
- Over 8 years of experience in relevant functions. In-depth understanding of EN (EU) Fire and Explosion Regulations, SEVESO, ATEX, British Standards, API, and NFPA requirements.
- Experience in defining and conducting Fire and Explosion safety inspections and audits.
- Proven ability to collaborate with insurance companies on Fire and Explosion prevention.
- Strong technical safety knowledge and experience in risk review for capital projects related to Fire and Explosion safety.
- Willingness to travel globally (10-20% time), and fluency in English.
