ph3Summary /h3 pYou will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Office of NAVAL COMP TELCOM STATION NAPLES.
/p pThis position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. ****f.
/p h3Duties /h3 ul liYou will serve as the primary advisor to the Commanding Officer on personnel security issues.
/li liYou will recommend denial or revocation of clearances based on unfavorable information.
/li liYou will coordinate the security clearance program for Naval Computer and Telecommunications Stations (NCTS) Naples to ensure that all assigned employees or perspective employees are cleared for access to sensitive information or material.
/li liYou will plan, schedule, and conduct periodic security awareness briefs security indoctrinations, and training to ensure that all personnel assigned are aware of the current security directives and procedures.
/li liYou will act as the lead civilian in the Security Office with one Security Assistant who asses with personnel and physical security work-related items.
/li liYou will oversee NCTS Naples' classified information program in matters pertaining to the classification, safeguarding, transmission and destruction of classified material.
/li liYou will conduct audits to ensure that departments are adhering to established procedures and guidelines for the safekeeping of classified information.
/li liYou will serve as principal advisor to the Commanding Officer on all physical security/force protection matters that effect the station.
/li liYou will develop and implement local security instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.

/li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 pApplicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position.
Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.




Such experience is typically in or directly related to the work of the position to be filled.
Qualifying experience would be demonstrated by
1) Serving as the principal advisor to the Commanding Officer on all physical security/force protection matters that effect the station and
2) Performing planning, scheduling, and conducting periodic security awareness briefs, security indoctrinations, and training to ensure that all personnel assigned are aware of the current security directives and procedures and
3) Coordinating all matters related to the overall Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP), Physical Security and Loss Prevention Programs, conducting annual physical surveys, vulnerability and risk management assessments for the station to assess the command's security readiness posture, identifying discrepancies, and developing plans of action to correct and 4)Conducting formal and informal investigations as appropriate of security violations, missing, lost and stolen government property and prepares reports of findings, opinions and recommendations for correction security weaknesses and/or disciplinary action and 5) Planning, coordinating, and implementing guard services, including establishment of special post orders, reporting criteria, Emergency Action Plan reporting criteria, emergency responses, special drills, and guard training and weapons familiarization/qualification for Auxiliary security Force in coordination with the command's KMI Manager and Chief Master-At-Arms and host command's Security Department.

SP?D certification/s must be maintained and undergo renewal process every two years in accordance with SECNAVINST .
