Wir sind der weltweit führende Anbieter effizienter, innovativer und nachhaltiger Wassertechnologien, die dafür sorgen, dass unser Wasser nachhaltig genutzt, optimal verwaltet, erhalten und wiederverwendet wird.**Job Summary:**For our manufacturing plant with over 800 employees in Montecchio Maggiore (VI) we are seeking a Power Electronics Engineer that will be part of Xylem Electronics Centre of Excellence.Electronics Centre of Excellence is supporting Xylem objective of simplifying water by standardizing and enhancing Xylem key Power Electronics capability to design a range of custom motor drives (variable frequency) to surpass efficiency, usability and reliability requirements for a wide range of water applications.Our Electronic Engineers are responsible for the power electronics and motor control for a range of variable frequency drives used within the Xylem portfolio. These products are based upon a re-usable platform which is customizable for specific applications and environments.**Essential Duties:*** Design, test, and verification of electronics products and prototypes on single and three phase supplies at voltages up to 1000V.* Schematic design/ PCB layout with Altium Designer.* Analogue signal chain design and simulation using SPICE.* Building and debugging hardware.* Magnetics design, testing, and prototyping.* Driving manufacturing efforts for reliability and quality.* EMC/EMI testing and debugging.* Conform designs to meet standards compliance.* Interfacing with software engineers, physicists, and mechanical engineers.* Generating design, test,
and verification documentation.**Minimum Qualifications:*** A bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Electronics Engineering with specialization in Power Electronics or similar* **Fluency in English and Italian is mandatory*** 2+ years of Power Electronics/Drives design experience* Good knowledge of mixed-signal design.* Proficiency in schematic design/layout using a recognized package (Altium Designer is preferred)* Good understanding of gate drive design, circuit protection (high power and voltage), analog filters, analog signal processing.**Other Preferred Qualifications:*** Hands-on experience with EMC/EMI testing and debugging.* Magnetics design, specification, and testing.* Good understanding of motor control theory (synchronous and asynchronous)* Good understanding of boost PFC converters, fly-back converters, half-bridge/full-bridge converters.* High-level analytical ability, strong understanding of power engineering fundamentals and theory.* Good understanding of industrial communication protocols (RS485, ModBus, AS-i)* IGBT design and specifications, including associated electronics ie. Gate-drive, protection, fault-mechanisms etc.**CONTRACT:** permanent, full-time.
