Job Description
DXC Technology is looking for a Database Administrator Expert to join the Cloud & Infrastructure team.
Responsibilities
- Proven experience in operational management and performance tuning of databases, with end-to-end technical ownership of the database environment, from design to implementation
- Strong skills in backup/restore strategies and service continuity support
- Ability to monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, including the resolution of complex technical problems on database systems and platforms
- Experience collaborating with infrastructure teams for application integration, and direct interface with clients and technical teams for requirements gathering and solution validation
- Technical guidance and support for junior/mid team members, contributing to the definition of technical standards and best practices within the team
- Availability to contribute to the hiring process through technical assessments during interviews

with strong problem-solving skills and effective communication with clients and technical teams
- Oracle (Standalone and RAC)
- Microsoft SQL Server (Standalone and Always On)
- MySQL Server (Standalone and Always On)
- PostgreSQL (Standalone and Cluster)
- MongoDB (Standalone and Replica Set)
- Experience with Generative AI tools is a plus

Location:
Naples (NA) with lavoro da remoto possibility

The position offers a gross annual base salary starting from €36.000.
Compensation is determined in line with the applicable collective labor agreement (CBA: Contratto Collettivo Nazionale di Lavoro per l'industria metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti) and based on objective and gender-neutral criteria, including responsibility, experience and skills.
