Our client is a leading specialist data centre main contractor delivering full turnkey solutions across Europe, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, and commissioning works.
With group turnover exceeding 1.5bn and a strong pipeline of secured projects over the next three years, they continue to expand within the mission-critical construction sector.
Due to ongoing growth, they are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join the project delivery team on a major data centre development in Milan, Italy.
The Mechanical Engineer will support the delivery of complex mechanical systems on a large-scale, mission-critical data centre project, ensuring installations are completed safely,
on programme, and to the highest quality standards.Key Responsibilities
- Support the installation, inspection, and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water, pipework, ductwork, and fire protection systems.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, and technical submittals for compliance and constructability.
- Coordinate mechanical works with CSA and electrical teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Monitor site progress and track mechanical activities against project milestones.
- Manage subcontractor performance, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety standards are achieved.
- Assist in procurement activities, including technical reviews and material approvals.
- Participate in system walk-downs, pressure testing, flushing, balancing, and commissioning activities.
