Job Description

Aurora SRL is looking for a Geospatial Analyst specialising in satellite applications to support research projects in Earth observation, environmental monitoring and spatial intelligence. This is a tempo parziale, fixed-term position based in Roma, ideal for professionals who want to combine research activity with other commitments.

You will process and analyse satellite data from multiple platforms (Copernicus, commercial VHR), develop geospatial workflows and contribute to the delivery of actionable spatial intelligence products for research and institutional clients.





We are seeking someone with solid remote sensing skills and a passion for translating satellite data into meaningful insights.

Responsibilities
- Process and analyse optical and SAR satellite imagery (Sentinel-1/2, Landsat, Planet, Pleiades)
- Develop automated workflows for land cover classification, change detection and time-series analysis
- Create geospatial products: thematic maps, monitoring dashboards and spatial statistics
- Integrate satellite data with in-situ measurements, GIS layers and ancillary datasets
- Perform accuracy assessment and validation of derived products
- Contribute to technical reports, deliverables and scientific publications
- Support proposal preparation with technical input on EO methodologies
- Maintain data catalogues, processing logs and quality documentation

Must-have Requirements
- Degree in Geomatics, Remote Sensing, Geography, Environmental Sciences
