Purpose of the position: As EQUIPMENT/MACHINERY COST ENGINEER you will be part of the ENCAR - Energy Carries, Tendering Estimating Department.
How can you support us?
Preparing Cost Estimation for Equipment/Machinery procurement based on Material Take Off received from engineering departments, defining unit cost through market inquiries and/or internal cost database, availing of Procurement department support where required.
More specifically:
- To analyze and understand the Scope of Works defined by tendering documentation, with reference to technical aspect and specifications related to Equipment.
- For specific discipline, define the estimating strategy identifying the critical procurement items that require dedicated market inquiries.
- Contribute to Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), done by engineering departments, verifying the alignment to technical requirements and project specifications.
- Prepare Commercial bid Evaluation (CBE) verifying the alignment to contract requirements and evaluating potential cost impact of deviations.
- Review and agree with Lead Estimator the priced Material take off to be included in the cost built-up.
- Participate in cost review and cost closure meetings.
Maintain constantly updated internal material unit cost database
