About the role
Schaeffler Water Pump Bearing Italia is looking for an Engineer (m/f) to join the Plant Technology function as a Grinding Technology Engineer.

Key Responsibilities
- Grinding and lapping technology applied in production
- Support for the optimization of production machines and the development of new machinery
- Design of tools and equipment for grinding and lapping
- Responsibility for cost-reduction projects related to tooling and processes




- Industrialization of new products for production start-up
- Continuous improvement of the grinding and lapping process in terms of OEE, setup time, machine efficiency, and ergonomics
- Monitoring and analysis of production data in order to optimize processes and reduce manufacturing costs
- Pre-acceptance and acceptance testing of new machines
- Development of setup plans

Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 2–3 years of experience in a metalworking/manufacturing environment
- Experience with machining / material removal processes is a plus
