Chaberton Professionals, a division of Chaberton Partners specialized in the search and selection of Middle and Top Management professionals, is currently looking for a Compliance & AML Specialist on behalf of a leading player operating in the investment management and alternative investment sector.

The successful candidate will join the Compliance & Anti-Money Laundering functions, working closely with senior management and supporting the oversight of regulatory compliance, AML matters, and non-compliance risk management activities.

This position offers broad exposure across regulatory affairs, governance, anti-money laundering, data protection, and internal control frameworks, serving as a key point of reference for business functions on compliance-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on internal processes, policies, and procedures
- Support the maintenance and enhancement of the internal control system and compliance framework
- Contribute to the definition, implementation, and monitoring of compliance policies and procedures
- Provide advice and support to business functions on Compliance, AML/CFT, Data Protection, and regulatory matters
- Assist in identifying and managing potential conflicts of interest and related control measures
- Perform ex-ante assessments of compliance and AML risks related to new products, services, and business initiatives
- Support Know Your Customer (KYC), customer due diligence, and MiFID classification activities
- Manage customer complaints in accordance with internal procedures and maintain the relevant registers
- Participate in reviews and monitoring activities included in the annual Compliance and AML Plan
- Contribute to Compliance Risk Assessments and the periodic update of the compliance risk map
- Support AML risk self-assessment exercises and related monitoring activities
- Prepare reports,



presentations, and documentation for governance bodies and supervisory authorities
- Handle AML reporting obligations and regulatory submissions to the relevant authorities
- Support GDPR compliance activities, including assessments related to new products, outsourcing arrangements, data processing activities, and maintenance of processing records
- Assist in the activities of the Supervisory Body pursuant to Legislative Decree 231/2001
- Support the design and delivery of internal compliance and regulatory training initiatives

Requirements

- Degree in Law, Economics, Business Administration, or related disciplines
- Approximately 5-6 years of experience in Compliance, AML, or related control functions within asset management companies, investment firms, banks, financial institutions, or other regulated environments
- Strong knowledge of the regulatory framework applicable to collective investment management and financial services
- Solid understanding of AML/CFT, MiFID, GDPR, and internal control frameworks
- Fluent English, both written and spoken
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong familiarity with IT systems and digital tools

Location

Rome, Italy

Compensation

- Permanent employment contract under the Italian CCNL Commercio
- Salary up to € 50,000 gross annual salary, commensurate with the candidate's experience and overall profile
