As a Field Service Engineer, you will be focused on providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment.

You will be responsible for carrying out installation, emergency repair, preventive maintenance, performing retrofits and upgrades on Alcon surgical equipment, maximizing customer satisfaction by providing the highest level of service.

- Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up
- Researching, evaluating,



and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs
- Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business
- Resolving/troubleshooting implementation problems and/or training customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased
- Completing preventative maintenance routine as scheduled and per contract conditions, as well as emergency calls
- Testing repaired instruments in all operating modes and demonstrates that repaired instruments operate at Alcon’s specifications
- Minimizing instrument failure call back
- Installing retrofits and instructing customers of resultant benefits and changes
- Ensuring a high level of communication with customers, sales force, Clinical Applications and operations within the operating region, to ensure customer needs are rapidly addressed
- Communicating equipment problems, quality issues and custo
