Report to Jacket Engineering Coordinator, the Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment used in oil and gas facilities. This includes ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with regulatory and company standards across all project phases from design and construction to commissioning and operations, candidate responsibilities.Design & Engineering:Review and consent to the design electrical power distribution systems (LV, MV, HV) for oil and gas the developed single – line diagrams (SLDs), load lists, cable schedules, grounding, and lighting layouts.Review and approve the selected electrical equipment including transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, batteries, and motors.Perform electrical system studies (load flow, short circuit, arc flash, protection coordination).Ensure compliance with industry standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE, API, NEMA, ATEX).Project Execution & Procurement:Review and approve vendor documents and technical Material Requisitions (MRs), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBEs),



and equipment with other engineering disciplines, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design & Commissioning:Supervise installation of electrical systems and ensure compliance with approved designs and standards.Conduct inspection, testing, and pre – commissioning of electrical equipment.Participate in FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SATs (Site Acceptance Tests).Troubleshoot issues during installation and commissioning phases.Operations & Maintenance:Support operations teams in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems.Review condition monitoring data (e.g., IR thermography, insulation resistance tests).Participate in root cause analysis for electrical failures.Ensure asset integrity and optimize electrical system performance over the asset lifecycle.Skills & Competencies:In-depth knowledge of electrical design for oil & gas environments (onshore/offshore).Familiarity with hazardou
