AVL Italia S.p.A. offers a job in Italy (IT) asSW & Controls EngineerThe Software & Controls Engineer independently develops Controls Architectures, Algorithms, Electronics and the related System Integration in the areas of requirement engineering, software architecture definition, development and testing of control algorithms as well as software integration and testing and takes decisions on how work is to be carried out. The engineer presents the work results to customers.YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:Define and develop system requirements, architecture, and test concepts for controls, functions, and electronicsDevelop control algorithms, electronic components, schematics, and system designs, including initial calibration datasetsPerform system integration, testing, and validation, including rapid prototyping and hardware-in-the-loop testingDevelop embedded software for embedded control,
including requirement engineering and software architectureIntegrate software into electronic hardware control units and provide commissioning and support at customer locationsDevelop innovative algorithms for future mobility, create and update software applications, and optimize development processes and toolsYOUR PROFILE:Completed technical studies in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering or similarPrevious professional and industry experienceProfessional experience and knowledge of development processes (e.g., PTE Controls and Systems Engineering Process)Ability to work independently and handle more complex tasksKnowledge of standards such as ASPICE and ISO26262, and domain-specific knowledge (e.g., Powertrain, Vehicle)Experience with automotive development toolsExperience in quality management standards and model-based/agile development approachesProgramming skills in environments like Matlab Simulink, ANSI-C, C++, C#, PythonEnglish language knowledge (good to advanced)Strong communication, teamwork, analytical, and presentation skills, with go
