As Manager of the Charging Functions Software team, your main goal will be to drive the development and evolution of charging functions and firmware across Alpitronic’s Hypercharger product portfolio. In this role, you will lead and grow a team of experts, define the technical roadmap, and ensure the successful delivery of innovative and reliable charging solutions. You will coordinate closely with Product Management, System Engineering, Hardware and Quality teams to align product requirements, technical developments, and customer expectations. Your responsibilities also include fostering technical excellence, optimizing development processes, and supporting the long-term growth of both the team and the technology.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strengthen and further develop the organisation of the Charging Functions Softwareteam
- Lead internal and external resources to ensure the right balance between operational control and effective delegation
- Manage hiring activities, employee development, training, coaching and mentoring
- Define,
develop and monitor the technical product roadmap for charging functions and firmware, aligning it with the overall product strategy
- Align regulatory, standardisation and customer requirements with internal and external stakeholders
- Identify and drive continuous improvements in processes, methodologies and development practices to enhance efficiency and quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to address technical enquiries and resolve issues in the field
- Support technical decision-making and contribute to strategic product development initiatives
- Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in the development of embedded software and firmware
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
- Professional experience in embedded software and firmware development using C/C++
- Good knowledge of EV charging standards and communication
