We are currently seeking a NPDI Procurement Lead to join our dynamic team in Bologna, ItalyVertiv is hiring an NPDI Sourcing Engineer.
As a member of the Global Procurement Team, the person will lead the sourcing activities for an assigned Line of Business.
This position will be the designated point of contact managing all sourcing activities related to new product introduction, product cost reductions, production transfers,
supply chain design, and time to market.
Working closely with the Engineering and Commodity teams to monitor critical prototype parts, determine e-Auctions opportunities, perform risk & resiliency assessment, and be responsible for reporting status to agreed KPIs.RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage all Procurement deliverable as new products transition from ideation to pilot phase and into mass production with an exceptional level of speed, quality, and performance to exceed customer expectations. Be an integral part of each Engineering project team with the resulting product being (a) having parts sourced from preferred supplier/manufacturer, (b) having a BOM and Cap Ex cost that meets business needs, (c) have a supply chain that delivers parts/products that meets market demands, and (d) maximize dual sourcing, (e) ensure material and supplier readiness for key development milestones, (f) eliminate any supply chai
