You will serve as a Security Specialist in the Security Office of NAVAL COMP TELCOM STATION NAPLES.
This position is a DoD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 U.S.C. 1599f.
Duties

- You will serve as the primary advisor to the Commanding Officer on personnel security issues.
- You will recommend denial or revocation of clearances based on unfavorable information.
- You will coordinate the security clearance program for Naval Computer and Telecommunications Stations (NCTS) Naples to ensure that all assigned employees or perspective employees are cleared for access to sensitive information or material.
- You will plan, schedule, and conduct periodic security awareness briefs security indoctrinations, and training to ensure that all personnel assigned are aware of the current security directives and procedures.
- You will act as the lead civilian in the Security Office with one Security Assistant who asses with personnel and physical security work-related items.
- You will oversee NCTS Naples’ classified information program in matters pertaining to the classification, safeguarding, transmission and destruction of classified material.
- You will conduct audits to ensure that departments are adhering to established procedures and guidelines for the safekeeping of classified information.
- You will serve as principal advisor to the Commanding Officer on all physical security/force protection matters that effect the station.
- You will develop and implement local security instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
