We are looking for a Project Surveyor to join our team in Viareggio, Italy.
Position Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Project Surveyor to support our New Build and Refit Project Management division. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Project Surveyor plays a key role in overseeing the construction and refit of superyachts, with a focus on inspecting and assessing build quality,
compliance, and workmanship throughout all project stages.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct regular on-site inspections of new build and refit projects to verify construction quality, materials, and technical compliance.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and construction schedules.
- Identify deviations or deficiencies and ensure corrective actions are taken promptly.
- Liaise with shipyard personnel, subcontractors, and classification society representatives on technical and quality matters.
- Document inspections and produce detailed technical reports for the Project Manager.
- Support quality assurance processes and contribute to maintaining the highest standards of construction.
- Monitor and verify progress in line with project milestones and technical expectations.
- Attend factory acceptance tests, sea trials, and commissioning activities as required.
