We build the sustainable AI layer for tourism destinations.

Our chatbots and destination intelligence tools are live across around 20 destinations and hospitality clients in Italy. They answer real visitor questions in several languages, every day, and they help destination managers steer visitor flows and have a positive impact on the territory.

We have been bootstrapped from day one. Every euro we spend comes from destinations that decided the software was worth paying for. It means we build what clients actually need, and when we hire we expect that person to shape the product with us.

THE ROLE

You own products.

Most builders we know have the opposite problem: they can ship a product in a weekend, then spend two years looking for someone to pay for it. We already have the distribution: direct relationships with destinations, live data pipelines, and people who handle support. You bring the building, we bring the customers.

You will take over one or more of our existing AI products and run them end to end: architecture, code, deployment, the calls that matter. And you will build new ones with us, from the first sketch to something a visitor in the Dolomites is actually using.

If you have been waiting for a role where you decide how it gets built and then have to live with the decision, this is that role.

HOW WE WORK

Weekly sprints. We agree on the goals together at the start of the sprint and review them during the week. How you organise your week is up to you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

- Own AI chatbot products end to end: architecture, build, deploy, iterate
- Build new products from zero, with real input into what we build and why
- Work across the stack in Next.js, React, Type Script and Python
- Design agent systems that survive real users: retrieval and RAG pipelines, vector search, multi agent orchestration, LLM and SLM evaluation




- Turn tourism data (open data hubs, DMS providers, destination APIs) into something an agent can reason over
- Run your own deployments on Azure

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

- Senior: several years of shipping software, and you make architectural decisions without waiting for permission
- Strong in Type Script and Next.js, and in Python
- You have built agent or RAG systems that reached production and met real users, not just a demo
- Comfortable owning infrastructure and deployments yourself
- Fluent English. German is not a requirement, but it counts for a lot here
- You write clearly

Nice to have: Italian, tourism or travel tech experience, or having been the first senior engineer somewhere before.

THE SETUP

- Freelance contract (partita IVA or local equivalent), starting September 2026. We are looking for a main commitment, indicatively 4 to 5 days a week, agreed with you.
- Annual fee from 42.000 euro for a strong mid-senior profile up to 60.000 euro for a senior one
- Invoices paid within 15 days
- Equity on top of the fee, work for equity with a cliff and a vesting schedule.
- Fully remote, flexible hours, some overlap with CET. We can contract within Italy and the EU
- Direct work with the founders on product direction

HOW WE HIRE

- A 15 minute intro call
- A coding challenge you build on your own time, around 1 hours of work
- A live session where you walk one of our developers through what you built and the decisions behind it
- Our answer after the live session, either way, within 5 days

HOW TO APPLY

Apply with your CV and two or three links to things you have built. Private or internal projects are fine, just tell us what you did and what was yours. Live products we can test are highly valued.
