Communications Manager – Splendido Portofino

Belmond is on a mission to become the world’s most desirable luxury travel brand, telling stories that capture the true essence of a place and its people. The Communications Manager is responsible for the two Belmond properties based in Portofino – Splendido and Splendido Mare – implementing all communications activities and supporting the strategy defined by the Divisional Brand and Marketing Director and the Communications Director.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Planning, Execution & Coordination
- You will work closely with the Divisional Communications team to develop and execute property communication plans that support global and divisional business goals.
- You will be the key point of contact for internal stakeholders and will facilitate communications across teams to inform and generate maximum visibility for all property and divisional activities.

Media & KOLs Relations & Events
- Manage media and KOLs relations and proactively research new contacts to increase the media and KOLs database.




- Proactively pitch journalists for editorials and single press visits to achieve property press targets and increase brand awareness.
- Organize media trips and coordinate single visits.
- Develop press material (press releases, news updates, etc.), respond to media and agency enquiries and keep the internal media platforms updated.
- Organize and support the creation and production of property events, developing relationships with new partners and curating attendee lists based on targets set.

Support Social Media Content Creation Strategy
- Work closely with the Divisional Social Media Managers to build property communication plans that align across all platforms and ensure new stories and campaigns are effectively communicated.
