The IT Infrastructure Senior Engineer supports the management and continuous improvement of our IT infrastructure and enterprise security posture.
The role involves administering and maintaining client and server operating systems primarily in Microsoft environments, with exposure to Linux systems.
This position requires a hands-on approach to problem-solving and collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and secure IT operations.Tasks & ResponsibilitiesIT Infrastructure Management: Maintain IT infrastructure, including operating systems in a Microsoft & Linux environment, with excellent knowledge and demonstrable experience (Windows), knowledge for LinuxVirtualization:
Configuration and management of ESX virtualization systemsServer Administration: Perform server administration tasks and research event-log warnings and errorsTechnical Support: Assist the Service Desk with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when neededAudits & Backups: Perform routine and scheduled audits of all systems, including backupSecurity Management: Develop and maintain automation scripts to streamline routine administrative tasks and improve operational efficiencyCapacity Planning: Monitor system performance and resource utilization, providing recommendations for infrastructure scaling and optimizationDocumentation: Draft and update documentation related to procedures and activities performedProfessional Development: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in system administrationNetworking: Configure and manage networks using HPE Aruba Networking tech
