Your new role Ramboll Italy is seeking a Junior Engineering Geologist to join its collaborative team in Italy/ Spain. This individual will serve a key function providing the hands-on technical contribution with specific focus on Geotechnical Site Assessment, due diligence work in the M&A; sector and soil and groundwater investigation with emphasis on ground conditions assessment, producing technical specifications, plans, foundations and underground structures design and other geotechnical aspects of construction . In this role, you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally on premier land development projects.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Organising and supervising Site Investigation
- Contributing to engineering risk assessments, technical documents, and calculations
- Contributing to the technical due diligence, soil risk assessment, and risk mitigation in accordance with the current design Standards, Codes of Practice, and best practice
- Assisting a wide range of geotechnical design work, fully compliant with Eurocodes
- Assisting in the preparation of expressions of interest and tenders, including cost estimates
- Development and technical assurance of design, including client’s presentations and reports
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Geology or Civil or Geotechnical Engineering required, Master’s degree strongly preferred
- A working knowledge of a range of geotechnical software, including Geo Studio suite (Slope/W, Seep/W) or similar
- Some working experience in a design env
