Specialista Senior / Project Manager
As an R&D; Test Automation Engineer at ABB, you’ll validate high-quality energy management products through automated testing on real devices and lab setups. You will build and evolve test automation that connects test benches, instruments, device interfaces, and Hardware-in-the-Loop environments. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve test reliability and coverage while growing your expertise in product validation and integrated test systems. This role offers hands-on work with real hardware in a hybrid, growth-oriented R&D; team, contributing to ABB’s mission of cleaner, smarter solutions.

Develop, maintain, and improve automated test solutions to boost repeatability, efficiency, and coverage in product validation
Integrate devices under test, measurement instruments, power/energy equipment, interfaces, and test benches into reliable HIL environments
Implement test automation software and scripts to control devices,
run test sequences, collect data, manage results, and support reporting
Work with communication interfaces and libraries (C#/.NET DLLs) to configure products, stimulate tests, and verify behavior via Modbus, M-Bus, Ethernet, TCP/IP, serial
Collaborate with firmware, hardware, system, and product teams across the validation process
Analyze test results, investigate failures, and translate findings into improved coverage, troubleshooting, documentation, traceability, and quality
Contribute to evolving test automation practices, data quality, and integrated test systems for real devices and lab setups
