Specialista Senior / Project Manager
In this role you will design, operate, and scale Klarna’s data streaming infrastructure, focusing on its shared Kafka clusters and core streaming platforms. You will drive architectural decisions across data landscape with cross-team stakeholders, delivering scalable integrations and data pipelines. You’ll work hands-on to implement using Kafka, AWS, Iceberg, ECS, and S3, ensuring secure, maintainable systems. This is a chance to shape how Klarna processes and shares data at scale, with a strong focus on lasting, production-ready solutions.
- Develop, operate and maintain Klarna's shared Kafka clusters (~150 nodes)
- Lead design and implementation of core data streaming systems using Kafka, AWS, Iceberg, ECS, and S3
- Drive architectural decisions across data landscape, downstream consumers, and cross-team dependencies
- Derive technical requirements from the organization and deliver projects with minimal oversight
- Lead technical work in cross-team initiatives
- Experience building and running streaming platforms on AWS (EC2 clusters and S3)
- Hands-on Python, distributed systems, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Familiar with SSO, IAM, and AWS
