Software Developer - Space Missions
Join our client’s team in Rome as a Software Developer - Space Missions.
With over 30 years of experience, our client is a trusted partner of European governments and international organizations, specializing in IT and space services, providing operational and engineering support for Earth observation missions, data processing, and applied research.
YOUR TASKS
Overseeing the processes of harvesting, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), and data aggregation within the data warehouse system.
Conducting data mining and analysis to identify and address functional anomalies in the system.
Providing support for converting satellite data to the EO-SIP format by developing new converters.
Updating existing converters to ensure compatibility and functionality with current requirements. YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
To be successful in this role, you will need:
Secondary school diploma (or higher)
Minimum 1-3 years of proven experience
Design and development of interfaces between multi-systems
Experience in programming in various languages (PL/PostgreSQL, Java and/or Python)
Experience in writing complex queries in SQL
Data processing and transformation
Good written and oral command of English (B1 or higher) Nice to have:
Linux O.S. and native shell scripting
Business Intelligence procedures, data presentation tools and technics (e.g. Tableau or similar BI tools)
ETL procedures
Nagios or similar monitoring tools
