Do you want to contribute to RD projects in the field of radar monitoring? /p pFor our bPisa /bheadquarters we are looking for an bAlgorithm Engineer /b who will join the Data Algorithms Analysis team, within the RD department. /p pThe main goal of the Data Algorithms Analysis team is to conceive and develop advanced algorithms and analysis techniques that transform radar monitoring data into actionable, value-added information for end users. /p pThe candidate will work within a multidisciplinary team, initially focusing on understanding the main data processing algorithms used in the radar monitoring application domain, supported by targeted training on specialized radar and monitoring topics. /p pThe candidate will be involved in the conceptualization of processing algorithms to address specific application challenges, followed by their development within a scientific computing environment. Responsibilities will also include testing and validation activities, performance assessment through dedicated technical reporting,
and the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs). /p pAs an Algorithm Engineer, the new resource will work closely with specialists from RD department (system designers, processing engineers, SW developers), from Product Management and external partners (universities, research centers, consultants). /p pThe role will primarily interact with other departments within RD, particularly with the Radar Processing team and Software Development teams. There will also be expected interactions with the Product Management division to receive feedback from customers regarding current processing performances and desired new features. /p h3Duties Responsibilities: /h3 ul liDesign and develop new algorithms and methods applicable to radar monitoring data. /li liFollow the algorithms technical implementation in software products by other RD teams. /li liVerify the scientific validity and effectiveness of implemented methods. /li liAnalyze data collected by radar monitoring systems using advanced statistical methods. /li liDevelop new tools and methods to analyze data. /li liDefine data acquisition requirements.
/li liIdentify problems and user needs related to the use of monitoring data and propose technical product development plans. /li /ul h3Core skills required: /h3 ul liExcellent background in mathematics and data analysis (linear algebra, geometry, complex analysis, probability theory, statistics, modelling). /li liExcellent background in data processing and algorithms (signal processing, image processing, clustering, classification, regression analysis). /li liGood knowledge of scientific programming languages such as Python or MATLAB. /li liAbility to work in a team and effectively communicate the results of the analysis. /li liAttitude for problem solving and finding innovative solutions. /li /ul h3Preferred skills: /h3 ul liRadar principles. /li liSAR interferometry. /li liCode optimization. /li liCode version control (Git). /li /ul h3Computer skills: /h3 ul liPython, MATLAB or similar scientific programming languages. Code version control (Git). /li /ul h3Education: /h3 ul liMaster's degree in information engineering, physics, mathematics or related fields. Preferably 3 years of experience. /li /ul h3Language: /h3 ul liEnglish: equivalent to B2 /li /ul h3Travel requirement: /h3 ul liThe role may involve occasional short trips for customer visits or workshops. /li /ul h3Compensation: /h3 pWe offer a permanent employment contract.
