Job DescriptionDatalogic is looking for a Business Unit Senior Controller, this position will be a key member of Planning & Control and will actively contribute in shaping the future of Datalogic's success inside the controlling team in Calderara di Reno (BO).The role will act as a strategic finance partner to the business, providing rigorous analysis, forward-looking insight, and clear recommendations that drive informed decision-making, accountability, and sustainable performance improvement.Key Responsibilities: Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecast process for BU sales, capex, and operating costs — challenging assumptions and aligning financial targets with business strategy in close partnership with business management.Serve as the primary finance business partner to BU leaders, translating P&L; results and financial performance into clear, actionable insights that drive timely and informed business decisions.Deliver monthly and quarterly management reporting and statistical analysis, proactively highlighting risks, opportunities,
and emerging trends beyond the numbers.Act as a trusted sparring partner to the BU General Manager, actively contributing to initiatives that drive sustainable growth and profitability.Conduct product profitability and investment return analyses; partner with BU management in the development of new product business cases, bringing financial judgement to support go/no-go decisions.Monitor sales and margin evolution, delivering variance analysis vs. budget and prior year with clear narrative and recommended corrective actions.Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships across the organization, acting as a connector between finance and business to foster a performance-driven culture.Requirements: Education (School/Specialization): Degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or StatisticsLanguages: Fluent English and Italian; written and verbal communicationExperience: At least 5 years of proven controlling expertise in
