Job Description:
The

Component Engineer

is responsible for standardizing, selecting, validating, and managing components, ensuring they meet quality, cost, regulatory, and availability requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, maintain,



and unify standardized component requirements and material specifications across global products and projects to ensure consistency and quality

Proactively mitigate supply chain risks by monitoring obsolescence, shortages, and identifying suitable alternatives

Analyze technical specifications, interpret test results, select and qualify components by component and/or product technical specifications

Provide technical guidance and support to supply chain, project and manufacturing teams

Provide technical expertise by identifying, assessing, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure consistency and quality

Manage documentation, including datasheets, end-of-life notices, and change histories

Ensure components meet applicable internal and external regulations and quality standards

Investigate component issues, perform failure analysis, and establish corrective actions

Work closely with design engineers to select parts that meet performance requirements, while considering availability, cos
