Associate Engineering Manager at satispay.About the role Satispay is expanding its financial platform to help 6 million users manage their savings and investments. We are seeking a leader to oversee a squad of 3-5 engineers, focusing on team development and the delivery of high-impact consumer features.

What you'll do
- Manage the daily operations and performance of a 3-5 person engineering squad.
- Support professional growth through consistent 1:1 meetings, performance evaluations, and career development planning.
- Translate business objectives into clear technical roadmaps and manage project execution.
- Coordinate with product managers, designers, and other engineering managers to align priorities and resolve dependencies.
- Provide status updates to leadership, explaining technical progress and risks in business terms.
- Partner with senior and staff engineers to oversee architectural decisions and ensure high-quality software delivery.





Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in backend engineering.
- 2+ years of experience managing an engineering team within a fast-paced, product-focused environment.
- Expertise in distributed systems and API design.
- Proven ability to manage end-to-end delivery of complex features using agile methodologies.
- Proficiency in English for communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Interest in fintech and the regulatory requirements of financial products.

Skills & tools
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL
- Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Kinesis, ElasticSearch)
