DESCRIPTION Amazon’s Legal Department is looking for a talented cloud services/IT lawyer to support Amazon Web Services (AWS) in selling to commercial and public sector customers throughout the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region, with a primary focus on supporting AWS sales in Italy. AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing industry, providing IT infrastructure services, such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, content delivery, database services, and more to private and public sector customers. Key job responsibilities This position is based in Rome, Italy. Some regional and international travel will be required. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Quaalified to practice law in Italy.
- Significant post-qualification legal experience (7+ years).
- Previous work experience in a law firm, government, or in-house at a technology company.
- Transactional experience,
including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and experience supporting Italian government/public sector procurement.
- Professional fluency in English and Italian, written and spoken.
- Excellent communication, drafting and negotiation skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Familiarity with cloud computing, IT infrastructure and telecommunications policies, laws, and regulations.
- Experience with IT transactions, including services agreements.
- Experience engaging with policy makers, regulators, government contracting officials, system integrators, prime contractors, subcontractors, and resellers.
- Knowledge of EU government/public sector procurement processes and contracting laws, rules, and regulations, and experience supporting EU government/public sector procurement.
