- FAO’s commitment to environmental sustainability is integral to our strategic objectives and operations._ **Organizational Setting** The Information Technology Division (CIO) is responsible for all IT activities within the Organization. CIO performs on behalf of the Organization the following critical roles: defining FAO IT policies and providing strategic advice on IT architecture and standards, governance, policy and operational matters while monitoring organizational compliance; defining the mechanisms for managing FAO's information and data; protecting FAO's information assets and ensuring confidentiality,
integrity and availability; ensuring provision of IT services that are core for the Organization's global operations and supporting the information and business processes; coordinating organization-wide IT activities in order to reduce duplication and fragmentation and to increase integration of information data, systems and platforms, mobilizing IT resources from across the Organization. **Reporting Lines** Under the direct supervision of the Senior Information Technology Officer, the consultant will act as Enterprise Architecture and Digital Governance Specialist within the IT Division performing the following functions. **Technical Focus** **Tasks and responsibilities**
- Support core services provided by EA Office: triage of requested IT solutions, high level solution design, cloud computing risk assessment, etc.
- Maintain enterprise IT Risk Register, and monitor compliance.
- Contribute to the creation, review, and maintenance of IT governance policy documents, ensuring they align with enterprise architecture standards and regulatory expectations.
- Participate in IT governance forums.
- Maintain and enhance FAO Digital Capability Repository (EA Knowledge Base /Application Landscape).
- Perform business analysis and business architecture modelling.
- Create and update principles, patterns, reference architectures, and documentation
- Provide architectural assessments for specific IT initiatives and projects.
- Perform any other Enterprise Architecture and IT Governance activities as required.
**CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING** **Minimum Requirements**
- Advanced university degree from an institution recognized by the International Association of Universities (IAU)/UNESCO in Computer Science, Information systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering or closely related discipline. Consultants with a bachelor's degree need two additional years of relevant professional experience.
- 5 years of relevant working experience in enterprise architecture or specific architectural domain.

- Proven experience in IT governance, compliance, and risk management practices
- Proven ability to develop and maintain target architectures and roadmaps
- Experience documenting standards, principles, and architecture artefacts.
- Extent and relevance of experience of supporting design authority or architecture governance forums
