Make a Difference Behind the Mission

Share your passion for Italian culture and history as an Orientation Tour Operator. You will guide newcomers to USAG Italy through the rich cultural heritage of Vicenza and surrounding areas, helping reduce relocation stress and fostering successful integration into the host nation environment. This role is perfect for someone who loves storytelling, knows the Vicenza region well, and enjoys helping others discover the beauty of Italy.

What You’ll Do
- Develop and conduct engaging orientation tours and bi-cultural sessions for military community members
- Lead Host Nation Orientation sessions
- Conduct three-day Benvenuti Cultural Integration sessions monthly
- Create and maintain detailed tour plans for walking tours of Vicenza, Verona, Padova, and alternate locations
- Share knowledge of Italian history, customs, culture, and practical living information




- Manage groups of up to 20 attendees with professionalism and enthusiasm
- Adapt tour content based on customer feedback and COR coordination

What You Bring
- You have a deep knowledge of Vicenza, Verona, Padova, and surrounding areas including history and culture
- You have strong communication abilities and are able to communicate with all levels of command and diverse populations
- You are physically able to lead walking tours for several hours
- You are excited about the idea of leading tours and teaching others about Italy

Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience coordinating trips and historical tours in Italy
- Fluent (Level 4) proficiency in both English and Italian—reading, writing, and speaking
- Excellent public speaking and presentation skills
