Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich (www.mutares.com), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Your Tasks
- Conduct discovery workshops to identify AI opportunities addressing key pain points such as automation, analytics, NLP, and generative AI
- Define and prioritize use cases based on business impact, feasibility, and implementation effort
- Design scalable AI solutions and prototypes, ensuring cross-portfolio reusability
- Oversee implementation, including vendor selection, team coordination, and technical validation




- Develop toolkits and frameworks to accelerate AI adoption and enablement across Mutares and its portfolio companies

Your Profile
- Successfully completed a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineeringor a similar field with outstanding results
- At least 3 years of experience in designing and implementing AI solutions in business contexts, delivering large-scale AI or digital transformation projects in leading management consulting firms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
- Strong understanding of machine learning, LLMs, MLOps, data pipelines, and cloud-based AI architectures (Azure/AWS/GCP)
- Business fluency in Italian and English, with the ability to communicate in a well-structured and concise manner
- Willingness to travel up to 4 days per week (typically Monday – Thursday) and to work in an international env
