ph3Production and Configuration Engineer – Aerospace Engines – Milano (On-Site) /h3 pOur client is an international aerospace manufacturing company seeking a hands‑on Production and Configuration Engineer to support the industrialisation, documentation, configuration control, and manufacturing readiness of its engine products. /p pThis is not a pure design role and not a production supervision role. It is a practical engineering role for someone who can translate real products, assemblies, drawings, manufacturing knowledge, and shop‑floor experience into controlled technical documentation. /p pThe company is entering a major growth and factory relocation phase, and this role will be important in building the technical foundation required for the next stage: structured BOMs, reliable drawings, controlled configurations, work instructions, technical specifications, engine manuals, and production documentation. /p h3Job Responsibilities /h3 ul liCreate, update, and maintain 3D models, mechanical assemblies, production drawings, and assembly drawings. /li liSupport Engineering and Quality in creating and updating ATPs, inspection criteria, acceptance documents, and production test documentation. /li liPrepare and maintain structured BOMs for engines, assemblies, and mechanical systems. /li liDefine functional tolerances for CNC‑machined parts and mechanical assemblies. /li liPrepare work instructions, assembly instructions, technical specifications, and production documentation. /li liWrite and update engine manuals and technical literature based on input from Engineering, Production, and Quality. /li liSupport and maintain configuration control by updating drawings, BOMs, documents, and revision records.
/li liSupport ECO/ECN activities by documenting configuration changes and ensuring alignment between Engineering, Production, and Quality. /li liIdentify and close gaps between the actual production process and released technical documentation. /li liCapture and formalise practical production knowledge from experienced technicians into controlled technical documentation. /li liDevelop and maintain document templates, naming conventions, revision practices, and standard document structures. /li liWork with technicians on the shop floor to understand real assembly, machining, and production constraints. /li liSupport the improvement of existing products in terms of manufacturability, repeatability, and documentation control. /li /ul h3Requirements /h3 ul liMUST: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in production engineering, manufacturing engineering, technical documentation, mechanical assemblies, or configuration management. /li liMUST: Strong CAD capability — ability to create and update 3D models, assemblies, drawings, exploded views, tolerances, and technical documentation. /li liMUST: Ability to build and maintain BOMs in alignment with drawings, assemblies, and production reality. /li liMUST: Fluent Italian and conversational English. /li liAdvantage: Good understanding of CNC machining, mechanical assemblies, industrial machines, motors, or complex mechanical products. /li liAdvantage: Experience with ERP, PDM, or PLM systems (e.g. Teamcenter, Windchill, Enovia). /li liAdvantage: Experience in aerospace, foundry, casting, small‑series production, or high‑mix manufacturing. /li liEducation: Degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, or a similar technical field. /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
