Keysight is looking for a Wireless Protocol Integration Engineer to support the integration, validation, and system?level adoption of 3 GPP 5 G and pre?6 G protocol features .
This role acts as a bridge between protocol R&D; development and end?to?end system validation , working close to real implementations and evolving standards.
The focus is on feature integration, test environments, and system?level validation .




This position plays a key role in early 6 G pre?standard activities within a multi?site international setup .
Responsibilities Work closely with R&D; 3 GPP Protocol Development teams to integrate 5 G and pre?6 G features Support UE and base station emulation Contribute to pre?6 G standards , following 3 GPP evolution Target, configure, and maintain host and test environments Collaborate with R&D; software teams and cross?functional experts (systems, RF, protocol, product, customers/partners) to align on feature implementation, reproduce field issues, debug complex behaviors, and validate fixes Design, build, and execute tests to validate protocol features using scripting languages Qualifications Strong expertise in 3 GPP LTE / NR protocols Linux OS knowledge Python scripting Strong communication skills and proactive attitude Experience working in a multi?site environment Technical communication in English Experience with CI/CD , test frameworks, containers, and/or cloud?based environments (preferred) Tools: Git, Valgrind/Polaris, JIRA, Wireshark (preferred)
