ph3Technical Director - Electrical Distribution /h3 pWe are seeking a Technical Director to lead MV/HV electrical design within our Transmission Distribution portfolio. You will provide technical leadership across projects for major energy users, renewable connections, and networks (11kV–33kV+), while also supporting ME delivery. /p pYou will lead delivery across the full project lifecycle—from feasibility and FEED through design, construction, commissioning, and completion—ensuring high standards of quality, safety, and client service. /p pKey responsibilities and duties include: /p ul liLead electrical design and provide technical solutions for complex infrastructure projects, ensuring delivery to time, budget, and regulatory standards /li liOversee feasibility, optioneering, and detailed design of MV/HV systems including substations, cables, protection systems, and associated infrastructure /li liProvide technical assurance by reviewing and approving design deliverables and ensuring compliance with relevant standards /li liSupport construction and commissioning, resolving technical issues and managing commercial impacts /li liLead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate interfaces, and ensure integrated design delivery /li liContribute to bids, proposals, and resource planning /li liAct as a key client interface and maintain strong stakeholder relationships /li liEnsure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards while incorporating innovation /li liMentor and develop junior engineers and support team growth /li /ul pTechnical expertise: /p ul liStrong knowledge of electrical engineering and substation design for transmission and distribution /li liUnderstanding of industry standards, DNO/client requirements,



and regulatory frameworks /li liExperience in technical quality assurance processes /li /ul pProject leadership: /p ul liProven experience leading electrical teams across full project lifecycle stages /li liAbility to manage scope, cost, programme, and technical quality /li liExperience in team development, multidisciplinary coordination, and bid support /li /ul pDesign coordination: /p ul liStrong collaboration across civil, environmental, and multidisciplinary teams /li liAbility to deliver integrated design solutions /li /ul pAdditional skills: /p ul liStrong attention to detail and ability to resolve technical issues across all stages /li liExcellent communication and leadership skills with ability to influence stakeholders /li liSelf‑motivated with ability to manage multiple priorities /li liProficiency in MS Office and flexibility to travel as required /li liSignificant experience in transmission and distribution design, ideally across major infrastructure projects /li liExperience in renewables, grid connections, substations and network design advantageous /li liDegree in Electrical Engineering (or related) and Chartered status (or working towards) /li /ul pBenefits include:
