ph3Who we are: /h3 pTrueLayer is Europe’s fastest-growing Pay by Bank network. We power smarter, safer and faster payments by combining real-time bank payments with financial and identity data. E-commerce, iGaming and Financial Services businesses use our products to onboard new users, accept money and make payouts in seconds, and at scale. Live across 22 countries and with 1 new user joining TrueLayer’s Pay by Bank network every 3 seconds, we’re in a very exciting growth stage. This is why we’re expanding the team across our offices in London, Milan, and Dublin. /p pListed in Sifted as one of the 100 fastest growing start‑ups in UK Ireland, and CNBC’s World Top Fintech Companies, we’re trusted by industry leaders like RyanAir and Just Eat Takeaway for continued innovation within our payment products. To date, we’ve raised over $300 million from world‑renowned investors including Stripe, Tiger Global, Northzone, and Tencent. But this is just the beginning. /p pWe’re looking for people who are excited about joining the Pay by Bank revolution and helping us change the way the world pays. Could this be you? /p h3Description /h3 pTrueLayer is making a deliberate, CTO‑led investment in agentic engineering. We are building a new team — Agentic Engineering Enablement — with a focused mission: pave the way for AI agents to succeed across TrueLayer's engineering organisation. Every bottleneck that slows an agent down is a problem to solve. Every piece of tribal knowledge locked in a Slack thread or an engineer's head is an opportunity to unlock. /p pAs an Agentic Enablement Engineer, you will be an integral part of this new team. You will work hands‑on to build and maintain the context, tooling, and infrastructure that make AI agents effective at TrueLayer, contributing meaningfully to a greenfield platform with real engineering impact from day one. /p pWhat does good look like in Year One? /p pAgents routinely land coordinated changes across multiple repos and services, run e2e tests, and deploy behind guardrails without a human in the loop. /p h3What we expect from you as an Agentic Enablement Engineer: /h3 pbBuild and maintain agent context and tooling /b /p ul liWrite, maintain, and version AGENTS.md files, system prompt libraries, and skill definitions for the codebases and workflows you own. Treat this as infrastructure, not documentation. /li liWork with engineers across teams to surface and convert tribal knowledge into structured, agent‑consumable artefacts: runbooks, coding conventions, decision trees, and system maps. /li liBuild and contribute to TrueLayer's internal tool library: structured, versioned, testable agent capabilities that encode how we build, test, and operate software. /li /ul pbContribute to golden paths /b /p ul liBuild and maintain reusable templates and orchestration patterns that give agent capabilities a reliable, consistent starting point.
/li liIdentify where existing patterns are fragile or unclear and propose concrete improvements. /li liContribute to adoption tracking and feedback loops that help golden paths improve over time. /li /ul pbImprove CI/CD for agent workloads /b /p ul liContribute to CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, cloud runners) to reliably handle multi‑agent workflows. /li liIdentify and address CI latency through caching, parallelisation, and test impact analysis. /li liBuild and maintain ephemeral, sandboxed development environments for agent use. /li liAutomate recurring manual tasks: flaky test quarantine, dependency updates, and PR triage. /li /ul pbSupport the eval and observability layer /b /p ul liBuild and maintain evaluation suites for agent capabilities shipped internally. /li liInstrument agent health metrics and surface meaningful signals to the team. /li liContribute to guardrail and oversight implementations, with support from more senior team members. /li /ul pbShare and grow /b /p ul liShare work, learnings, and setbacks openly. Document your work thoroughly so others can build on it. /li liParticipate in team workshops and knowledge‑sharing initiatives, contributing to a culture where every engineer can engage confidently with agentic tools. /li /ul h3About you: /h3 ul liYou are actively using and building with AI agents — you have moved beyond occasional AI‑assisted tools and are designing workflows where agents do real, autonomous work. /li li4+ years of software engineering with exposure to platform engineering, infrastructure, or developer experience. /li liHands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and a practical understanding of how to improve their performance and reliability. /li liFamiliarity with building agent systems: prompt engineering, tool‑use schemas, or evaluation approaches. /li liWorking knowledge of cloud infrastructure fundamentals: AWS or equivalent, Docker, and containerization. /li liGood written communication skills, with the ability to document complex systems clearly for a technical audience. /li /ul pbWe would be particularly excited if you have: /b /p ul liHands‑on experience with MCP servers or agent orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen. /li liFamiliarity with eval or observability frameworks such as Braintrust or LangSmith. /li liA background in developer experience (DevEx) and an interest in measuring engineering velocity. /li liUnderstanding of LLM cost modelling: model selection, caching strategies, and token budget design.
/li liSecurity or compliance experience in a regulated environment. /li liOpen‑source contributions, technical writing, or community involvement in the agentic or DevEx space. /li /ul pMultiple studies have shown that women and people of underrepresented groups are sometimes less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single requirement. At TrueLayer, we are committed to building a diverse workforce, so if you are excited about this role and have the essential skills, but not the entire checklist - we'd still love to hear from you! /p h3Benefits and Compensation /h3 p€60,000 - €88,000 + equity /p h3What you can expect from us /h3 ul liCompetitive salary and meaningful equity in the company /li liFlexible hours and hybrid working – we offer a hybrid approach of 3 days per week remote working and 2 days per week in our new offices in London, Milan and Dublin /li liNeed to collect the kids from childcare? Love a workout in the gym first thing? No worries, we trust you to do your best work within our hybrid framework /li liA one‑off contribution of €200 to help you set up your home office /li liFlexible holiday policy, with 24 days as standard /li li2 volunteering days to support causes important to you /li liGenerous parental leave, above and beyond statutory requirements and with no minimum tenure /li liMeal vouchers for every day you’re working, including while remote /li liBudget to spend on learning development each year /li li12 fully‑paid wellbeing days a year and your birthday off (on top of the holiday allowance) /li liMembership of mental wellbeing platform Spill /li /ul h3About our hiring process /h3 pOur hiring process typically consists of four stages: /p ol liA call with one of our Talent Acquisition Partners. /li liA take‑home exercise. /li li2‑hour video interview with two TrueLayer engineers. /li li1.5‑hour total final round video interviews. /li /ol pFull details on the interview process, including preparation tips and the qualities we look for in future TrueLayeristas, can be found on our blog. /p pAt TrueLayer, we don’t just do inclusion and diversity. We embrace people that have different opinions, perspectives and personalities. Because we believe that by seeing the world from all sorts of angles, we can make life better for all the people who live in it. We strongly encourage applications from underrepresented groups (e.g. people of colour, the LGBTQ+ community, people with disabilities, neurodivergent people, parents, carers, and people from all socio‑economic backgrounds). If you’d like to discuss alternative working patterns, please let us know. /p pWe will always aim to make appropriate adjustments to ensure we are fully inclusive to people with different needs during our interview process. So if you need us to make any adjustments to suit your individual needs please let us know – we’ll be happy to support you. /p /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
