Your Purpose
The Bridge and Nautical Equipment specialist is responsible for overseeing the installation, testing, and acceptance of navigational bridge equipment, ensuring all systems are delivered in accordance with project requirements until vessel delivery
The role also supports some key activities within the Deck and Safety department and is responsible for managing navigational bridge equipment warranty and guarantee claims following vessel delivery.
You will also provide supervision and acceptance of safety equipment and systems, including lifesaving appliances, fire-fighting systems, fire protection, and related equipment. The role also provides technical support during the review and approval of drawings and documentation.
As the lead specialist for this area, you will act as the main point of contact for all bridge and nautical equipment matters, working closely with Fleet Operations, ship construction teams, shipyards, and suppliers.
Your Impact




Oversees the installation of the Bridge equipment and Safety related equipment installed on the Bridge as per approved drawing and International and Company regulation.
Participates to the Manufacturer FATs and provides feedback to the technical and on-site department.
Monitors the daily work of the contractors on board the vessel so to resolve issues as identified during the official inspection calls and patrolling;
Supervises that installation of all equipment is in accordance with the contractual documents, project schedule and the master plan of the vessel under construction;
Demonstrates thorough knowledge of the contractual document, the relevant specifications and the main the scope of work;
Provides periodic technical reports and weekly updates to the head of shipbuilding and director of site offices;
Ensures that all the bridge and nautical equipment and systems are safe to operate, installed according to the manuf
