Role Overview: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for leading and executing the full-cycle, multi-state payroll function for all Nelson Miller Group US sites. This individual will have complete ownership of the payroll function.
This individual performs all activities necessary to process payroll, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as levies and garnishments, preparing accounting transactions and documents, documenting and updating procedures, and preparing special reports for senior management. Position requires minimal travel (approximately up to 10%) for initial training at an NMG site or on an as-needed basis. Key Responsibilities: Payroll Processing & Administration Full-cycle payroll processing for multi-state, multi-site operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Validate timecards, attendance data, and system integrations prior to payroll submission. Process manual checks, adjustments, and off-cycle payments. Reconcile payroll each cycle and validate reports prior to final transmission. Maintain payroll records, audit trails, and employee data integrity. Compliance, Taxat
