About The Job The Director of Purchasing is responsible for leading the strategic and operational management of the hotel's procurement function. Reporting to the Director of Finance, this role plays a critical part in ensuring the effective sourcing of goods and services, maintaining strong supplier partnerships, driving cost efficiencies and supporting the financial and operational success of Mandarin Oriental, Rome.
- Lead all purchasing operations, ensuring compliance, efficiency and exceptional service delivery across the hotel.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies that support operational requirements while maximising value and cost effectiveness.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers and negotiate favourable commercial agreements, contracts and service levels.
