With the launch of our new production facility in Bari, Midsummer Italia is now strengthening the team with a Service Technician specializing in automation and control systems who wants to contribute to the growth of renewable energy and advanced manufacturing.

Job description
Your primary responsibility will be to ensure maximum uptime and reliability of production equipment.
You will be the first responder to machine breakdown and problems occurring within the production. You will work with different types of machines but will specialize in Midsummer produced equipment, like the Duo tool. You will handle different control systems and PLC's when it comes to troubleshooting, installation and maintenance but mostly Beckhoff. The service technician with a specialization in control systems and automation will work closely with engineers and other departments to implement and test improvements to the production process.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose issues within the production and provide a plan of action on how to approach the issue.
- Respond rapidly to equipment breakdowns and production stoppages.
- Troubleshoot different bus communications, like PROFIBUS, EtherCAT and ASi safety.
- Install software, take backups, manage backups and restore backups for different control systems, in particular Beckhoff.
