The person to be assisted is an 86-year-old man with impaired mental clarity and significant physical weakness.
During the night, he may wake up several times, attempt to get out of bed, and lose his balance, with a resulting risk of falling.
The purpose of the overnight presence is to monitor these awakenings, intervene promptly to prevent him from getting up on his own, assist him in returning safely to bed, and ensure a calm and secure environment.
No specific medical duties are required; however, constant attention, the ability to reassure, patience, and experience in caring for non-self-sufficient elderly individuals are essential.
