Job Description:The Component Engineer is responsible for standardizing, selecting, validating, and managing components, ensuring they meet quality, cost, regulatory, and availability requirements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain,



and unify standardized component requirements and material specifications across global products and projects to ensure consistency and quality
- Proactively mitigate supply chain risks by monitoring obsolescence, shortages, and identifying suitable alternatives
- Analyze technical specifications, interpret test results, select and qualify components by component and/or product technical specifications
- Provide technical guidance and support to supply chain, project and manufacturing teams
- Provide technical expertise by identifying, assessing, and negotiating with suppliers to ensure consistency and quality
- Manage documentation, including datasheets, end-of-life notices, and change histories
- Ensure components meet applicable internal and external regulations and quality standards
- Investigate component issues, perform failure analysis, and establish corrective actions
- Work closely with design engineers to select parts that meet performance requiremen
